The Bristol Energy Co-operative (BEC) has raised the £2 million needed to fund the purchase of a solar farm in Somerset as well as develop new projects in and around the city. The bond offer was launched at the start of March and will be used to pay for the 4.6MW Puriton solar farm, the construction of a new solar park near Lawrence Weston, Bristol and to install solar panels on 19 community buildings across Bristol.
